Here is a history list of what's changed recently in TS/PP-Draft 4.0:

4.0.1.16

Fixed a problem that could occur in the Intersection Parameters window causing the selection of the queue lane group (on Platoon-Progression Diagrams) to change without warning.

Added more options for the layout of the diagram (View:Options:Layout):

4.0.1.15

Fixed an error in exporting UTDF files that could sometimes result in an improperly-formatted file, making it problematic for other programs to import. This rarely occured, but it was more likely to happen if the data had originally been imported from UTDF files.

Improved the placement of external nodes when exporting UTDF files.

4.0.1.14

Rearranged the Arterial Outline View so you can see more links and intersections.

Color-coded the linked intersections in the Network View to match the link colors in the Arterial Outline View.

4.0.1.13

Optionally show the distance between intersections on the diagram. Optionally show the vertical scale on diagram printouts. Move the Drive Rule from the Layout page to the Units page of the Options dialog to make room for the new options.

When preparing reports, put a header line at the top of each page showing the directions of travel.

4.0.1.12

Fixed a bug in the importing of UTDF files. Leading or lagging left turns could sometimes get imported as unprotected lefts. This bug affected versions starting with 4.0.1.3.

4.0.1.11

Ensure that green bands from the cross street movements have the correct default offset even when the through split is zero.

4.0.1.10

Fixed a bug that bites when you try to merge a .Dgm file that's in the version 3.0 format. It didn't matter if the file already open was in ver. 3 or ver 4 format, but if the file being merged was in ver. 3 format, an infinite loop resulted.

4.0.1.9

Fixed a strange and rare problem that could occur when changing the lane configuration in the Intersection Parameters.

Allow the movement (or lane group) buttons in Intersection Parameters Timings and Volumes pages to be "flat". By default they protrude, but you can change that so they protrude only when the mouse cursor is over them. This setting is in the View:Options:Desktop page.

4.0.1.8

In the Intersection Parameters, don't force the opposing through splits to match at two-phase intersections when the opposing approach has no lanes but this approach does.

Ensure that we'll still get something when we import UTDF files but omit the Lanes file. I don't recommend making a habit of this, because both the Lanes file and the Layout file are really necessary to make any sense of the data in the other UTDF files.

4.0.1.7

Handle more gracefully the cases where the through split and the opposing left split are 0, such as at T-intersections imported from UTDF files.

4.0.1.6

Fixed a problem that could occasionally arise in importing splits at T-intersections from UTDF files.

4.0.1.5

Offer a way to specify all 5 UTDF file names at once.

4.0.1.4

Changed the diagram reports so that in printing a report with multiple diagrams, the reports for later diagrams never starts on the last page of a preceding diagram.

4.0.1.3

Added the option of "flipping a diagram over," reversing the orientation of a diagram so that all intersections appear in the opposite order. This is especially useful after you've imported UTDF files because TS/PP-Draft doesn't let you specify the default orientation of arteries as they're being imported. To do this, right click on a selected diagram and choose the Flip Diagram Orientation command from the pop-up menu.

Fixed a couple of bugs in the importing of UTDF files. Two-phased intersections acquired a phantom lagging protected left-turn. In some circumstances, the green band could start in the wrong place.

Fixed a floating point error that could occur in very rare situations.

4.0.1.2

Included a new companion utility, CopyFromDgmFile, that simplifies the management of multiple timing plans. It's purpose is to transfer selected intersection or traffic signal parameters from one diagram file (*.Dgm) to another. This is useful if you maintain multiple timing plans for a given set of intersections. You can change the common parameters within one diagram file, then use this utility to "apply" those changes to other diagram files.

Fixed a few problems in the importing and exporting of UTDF files. UTDF files are exported using no more columns than are needed in the file.

Fixed a bug preventing the FDW time for exclusive ped movements from being accepted.

Fixed a problem that sometimes caused the network view to get corrupted upon editing the distance from the previous intersection.

4.0.1.1

Fixed several bugs in the importing and exporting of UTDF files.

Allow UTDF-importing intersections with more than 4 legs in some cases. If an adjacent pair of legs are one-way, but in opposite directions, they can be lumped together as a single approach.

Tried to ensure that the bottom time=0 line is always drawn.

Fixed a problem that set the diagram title font to a default font upon opening the Diagram/Arterial Parameters with the Font tab was selected by default.

4.0.1.0

Fixed a bug that could occur when you reopen a most-recently used file while a file is already opened and modified. If you accepted the offer to save before opening the new file, the program could incorrectly overwrite the "new" file (instead of the "old" file). This is such a nasty bug that I want to make sure everyone gets this update, so I'm sending a new set of diskettes to all registered users.

Automatically create a backup (with extension ".~Dgm") when files are saved.

Fixed quirk that sometimes caused the bottom time=0 line to be clipped (or effectively hidden).

Corrected an error that caused the FDW time to sometimes be double counted when testing whether the split of an exclusive ped phase was long enough to accommodate the clearance time.

4.0.0.11

Made a number of changes affecting the importing of UTDF files:

Show a hint reminding you that the Layout file must be a .CSV file in order to include street names. If there are no street names in the file, the intersection ID number is used to generate a name.

If none of the volume counts in the Volume file are within the time range you have selected, you now have the option of using the counts anyway.

Fixed a problem that could sometimes occur in deciding which are the opposing legs at a T intersection.

Corrected a error that arose when two intersection shared a common signal controller.

4.0.0.10

Corrected an oversight that sometimes allowed you to create a link between intersections that are already linked.

4.0.0.9

Added a new entry to the Frequently Asked Questions in the online help. This describes modelling a two-way artery that splits into a pair of one-way arteries then merges back into a two-way artery. Added a couple of example files to demonstrate this.

Fixed a minor quirk in the Outline View: After changing the name of an intersection or artery/diagram directly on the Outline View (by slowly double clicking on the name), the list of links below didn't immediately reflect the new name.

4.0.0.8

Changed the position of the band speed text on the diagram, as needed, to avoid overlapping the splits text. There still may be some cases where the splits text is overlapped, but this seems to work in most cases. If you have a case where the splits text is still being overwritten, I'd appreciate your sending me the .Dgm file so I can see what's going on.

4.0.0.7

Made program remember last-used names of UTDF files even after closing program.

Fixed a problem entering license information on some Windows NT systems. I think this occurred when the user had insufficient system administrator privileges to store information in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE section of the Registry.

Fixed an error in the calculation of the license number. This means that license numbers that worked with earlier versions will no longer work with 4.0.07, and vice versa. I have snail-mailed corrected license numbers to all users, and I've e-mailed them to users whose e-mail addresses I have. Sorry for this hassle.

4.0.0.6

Fixed a problem applying changes in either the Phase & Movement Parameters or the Lane Group Parameters to more than one approach when the arterial forward direction was not yet set to N, S, E, or W.

4.0.0.5

Fixed a problem causing the Clip & Clip/Start band actions to be too agressive in clipping upstream bands.

Provided access to the band action for the outgoing bands at boundary intersections so you can set it to Clip or Clip/Start, affecting the upstream band. This access was in version 3.0, but was mistakenly omitted from version 4.0.

Added the ubiquitous start-up screen, showing copyright, version, and license information. Note that although the window lingers for 3 seconds before disappearing, you can start doing things with the program while the window is still visible.

4.0.0.4

Fixed a problem causing program to print only the report, not the diagram, when there is only one diagram.

4.0.0.3

Changed interpretation of FDW time. Now the FDW is assumed to not overlap the yellow clearance time.

Fixed a problem that caused the Timings Report to always go to the default printer, even when you tried to select a different printer using File:Printer Setup.

4.0.0.2

Reorganized the View:Options:Layout page to be a bit more logical.

Corrected a few typos in the online help file.

4.0.0.1

Fixed an alarming error message that appeared when there was no licensing information entered yet.
