Fix an error that could creep into the splits when exporting to UTDF (the newer, "combined" file) when there's more than one timing plan.

Fix an error that could occur in exporting T intersections to UTDF (in either format): the software could create the 4th leg for no good reason.

Fix a quirk that could improperly reject some changes to a phase's clearance times.

Fix a bug where, when you link "everything" between two intersections and only one of them has geographic coordinates, then the geographic coordinates could get discarded.

8.0.0.73 (2012.5.5)

Fix an error in opening a file from version 9.0 (or higher) that uses a higher harmonic for the adjusted cycle length or uses one of the uncoordinated cycle length options.

Begin transitioning to a new name for the software: Tru-Traffic. Same program, but now it's pronounceable! Same address, same developer. While this name transition is underway, to reduce confusion, I'll use an interim name in writing: "Tru-Traffic TS/PP".

Include the current date and time at the top of the TT&D report.

Add six new intrinsic columns to the TT&D report:

  1. TBT: Travel Time to First Blockage (seconds) (= TT, if there is no blockage)

  3. TBS: Average Speed to First Blockage = TBL/TBT
  4. BQS: Average Speed from First Blockage to this Node = BQL/BQT, when applicable
  5. TBMxS: Maximum Speed to First Blockage (= MxS, if there is no blockage)
  6. BQMxS: Maximum Speed from First Blockage to this Node (= MxS, if there is no blockage)

Users may wish to refer to these in choosing the design speed. There's also a change to one of the existing intrinsic columns: TBL: Travel Distance to First Blockage. In previous versions, this was reported as 0 when there was no blockage. Starting with this version, it's reported as TL (total travel distance) when there is no blockage. This change makes the summarized value on the Summary pages more sensible.

Add some parameters to the Specification of TSPPD Diagram Text File to specify the transparency of the Network View background map image and the background color.

Tweaked the formulas in the user-defined columns for SpeedLOS and CSpeedLOS CumulativeAvgSpeedLOS_mph.URC and CumulativeAvgSpeedLOS_kph.URC to (a) better conform to the intent of Exhibit 15-2 in the HCM2000 for Urban Street Class IV, and (b) to avert a numerical roundoff quirk that can cause the average LOS of two trip logs with LOS A to not be LOS A. If you already have the earlier versions of these formulas installed, then before downloading and installing these revised formulas, you'll need to delete the five columns DperInt, LOSDelay, CDS, SpeedLOS, and CSpeedLOS.

8.0.0.14 (2009.3.28)

Fix an error that could occur in reading a UTDF 2006 combined file. In some cases, the offset reference point could be misinterpreted.

Fixed a minor quirk in the new (smooth) plotting of Platoon-Progression diagrams: when using gradient color fills, an oversatured platoon flow band could get plotted in the wrong color.

Corrected the wording of a warning message about clearance times exceeding split -- the Walk time should be included in the message.

Added option, when exporting trip logs to a Google KML file, or when saving to the clipboard in Google KML format, to omit the names of the trip log point. This can reduce clutter when viewing long trip logs in Google Earth.

Tweaked a few things in the help file and the user's manual. For example, the tutorial on conducting a TT&D study now indicates that perhaps the easiest way to collect intersection geographic coordinates is by dropping placemarks in Google Earth then copying and pasting them all at once into TS/PP-Draft.

Fixed a bug introduced with 8.0.0.4 where, when dragging the offset of a signal on the arterial diagram, the signal wouldn't move until you released the mouse button.

Fixed a quirk where, when a trip log trajectory scrolled off the top-most whole cycle and wrapped around to the bottom-most cycle, it could leave a gap to the cycle edges.

Improved the plotting of Platoon-Progression diagrams and added new options for drawing it, including gradient color fills of the platoon flow bands.

When exporting trip logs to a Google KML file, or when copying to the clipboard in Google KML format, set the color of the icon at each point according to the speed. You may edit the colors and speed thresholds in the user preferences.

Added option to copy trip logs to the clipboard in GPS Exchange (GPX) format.

Added hot keys for toggling the GPS connction (Ctrl-G) and starting/stopping recording a trip log (Ctrl-J -- as in "Journey").

When the Network View has a map background image, display the nodes with a thin white border to improve the contrast against a possibly dark background.

8.0.0.4 (2008.12.31)

Fixed a divide-by-zero error that could occur when generating the TT&D report.

Fixed an annoyance whereby the averages in the the TT&D report were given to less precision than intended.

Fixed an error in the font size for the intersection names when you printed Trip Log plots.

Fixed a bug that interfered with setting the offset directly in the intersection paramters window.

8.0.0.3 (2008.12.24)

Fixed a problem that confused the analysis of a trip log that turns off the artery to the side-street then makes a U-turn and reenters the artery at the same intersection -- the software counted it as a single run.

Fixed a divide-by-zero error when you deleted the last set of geographic coordinates for an intersection.

Fixed an annoyance where the offer to set the travel distance to the straight line distance between intersections seemed to appear unnecessarily.

Added support for importing/exporting intersection coordinates as GPS Exchange Format (GPX) files.

Added support for importing/exporting trip logs as GPS Exchange Format (GPX) files.

Added support for importing trip logs as Google Earth KML files. This requires adding speed, speed units, and heading information to the KML format in <ExtendedData>. Alas, not all KML-supporting applications support this data at all, and those that do won't necessarily use the same format, so I can't guarantee that TS/PP-Draft will read a KML trip log saved from any application. TS/PP-Draft uses the same extended format as InstaMapper.

Add Walk time the the Phase/Movement Parameters. The Walk time imposes a constraint on the split, but is not used in calculations involving any offset reference point.

8.0.0.2 (2008.12.12)

Fixed a bug that could affect the analysis of a trip log from which bad points were disabled on both sides of where it passes through an intersection.

Added the option to specify the pause (in seconds) before the Trip Log Balloon Hint appears.

Added a few ease of use features:

8.0.0.1 (2008.12.1)

Fixed an error that caused newly-recorded trip logs to get incorrectly marked internally as imported.

8.0.0.0 (2008.11.20)

Initial release.
