Hello all,

I have this intersection (see attached) that I don't know how to phase. We are using just one controller. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

For Kipling St. (only), you can model it as a T-intersection. Set the number of lanes from the NE side of the intersection to 0, and set the split to 0 there as well.

If you need Tru-Traffic to show the Red Rocks Community College portion of that intersection, with a signal there, then you'll want to add an arterial diagram for a short NE-SW "route" that intersects Kipling St. and has a second node to the SW for the college portion. After creating the diagram for that crossing route, link "everything" between the two diagrams at their common intersection at Kipling St.

Effectively, the single-controller signal will be modeled in Tru-Traffic as two separate but closely-spaced intersections along a NE-SW route. You'll need to separately enter the timings at these two "independent" intersections, including their offsets and offset reference points. Once you have the timings set, link the "Offsets Only" between these two intersections, so Tru-Traffic will thereafter preserve the relative offsets between them. You can still change the splits and phasing independently, but the offsets will stay linked to preserve the relative offset. (And if you should need to change the relative offset, you'll need to first break that link, change the offset, the relink them).
